About Us

Since 2020

Absolutely Dragulous is a show that started from absolutely nothing. Through months of planning, Dustyn Dawn and our dream team single-handedly brought a drag show to Federal Hill in Baltimore, Maryland. Our show started with a table of 10 people in the middle of a room, and a cast of 5 performers. Today we have rotating casts of 6-7 performers, and have showcased over 65 different entertainers in the DMV area! Our goal is to provide a safe space for everyone to celebrate queer culture no matter your orientation or gender identity. We aim to be the most diverse cast in the DMV, as inclusivity is what our show is all about! Absolutely Dragulous will bring you the best entertainment around with private bookings, a rotating cast, monthly shows and more!

In 2021 we incorporated as an LLC in the State of Maryland. We joined the Maryland LGBT Chamber of Commerce, added on three new venues, and expanded our business into new areas. We offer the Drag Network to enable show producers and other businesses or individuals to hire performers who we certify to be professional AND offer services to help drag performers look their best. We repair jewelry, style wigs, and offer business consultation!

Drag is about a whole lot more than folks in makeup, dancing, and shade! Absolutely Dragulous brings you a show with true value. We bring in singers, dancers, speakers, and other alt-artists to share their amazing talents. Our productions thrive on diversity. With a diverse cast line up we guarantee fresh and innovative shows each and every time. So what's our purpose? To bring the community together and celebrate diversity in our intersectional world. To provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ people looking for restaurants and bars that will accept them, and to inspire others to boldly own their unique identities.

Our Mission:

Absolutely Dragulous has always been a show with a purpose. We aim to please a crowd, make you smile, and foster a community of acceptance and safety. Over the years, our team has been independantly involved with various shows, community organizations, and personal artistic endeavors. When our team came together we had one goal in mind, to be game changers. We set to work building a show from nothing, booking acts that draw crowds, and all while managing to do so safely in the midst of a pandemic. Our experiences have brought us to one simple conclusion. We need our artform, our drag, to do more than just fill seats in a restaurant or public venue. We need our shows to reflect our audiences, inspire our followers, encourage our fellow community members, and be a beacon for those in the community that are without a safe space to be themselves.

How we achieve these goals?

Choosing venues that value LGBTQ+ people and artforms
Offering benefit shows for queer artists so they can fund their own dreams
Bringing drag to our hometowns and making all our shows accessible
Offering new performers a chance to make a debut
